  The Dead Sea, also known as the Salt Sea, is a saltwater basin located in the southwest corner of Asia between the Jordan and Israel. This natural wonder is found at an altitude of 430.5 meters below sea level, making it one of the lowest land-based features. It is 304 meters deep, the deepest hypersaline lake in the world. The Dead Sea is one of the saltiest places on earth.
